A unique colour combination for the garden. The outer petals are yellow-green tapering to lilac-pink that darkens toward the centre, surrounding a bronze cone.
Echinacea purpurea, commonly called purple coneflower, is a perennial that is native to the central to southeastern United States. Echinacea typically grows to 2-4′ tall with showy daisy-like flowers (to 5″ diameter) that bloom throughout the summer. A good fresh cut or dried flower. The dead flower cones may attract birds to the winter garden.
